Giuseppe CELOTTO
Giuseppe Celotto, born in Rome on 14th August 1958, has been at the head of the Directorate General for Personnel, Organization and Budget of the Ministry of Health since 2002.
He graduated in Law in 1982 at “La Sapienza” University of Rome.
He started his managerial career at the Ministry of Health in 1985 after passing the competitive entrance examination. In 1995 he obtained the status of manager and was appointed director of the Office IV of the Directorate General for Personnel, Organization and Budget, in charge of the management of the juridical status of all the personnel of the Ministry of Health.
In 2001 he was assigned the position of Vice Head of the Minister’s Private Staff.
In 2004 he served as Head of the Minister’s Private Staff.
He is a member of the Central Committee for healthcare practitioners, a member of the Commission for scientific research at the IRCCS "Salvatore Maugeri Foundation", (Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care), a representative of the Ministry of Health in the Commission for Scientific Research of the Auxologic Institute in Milan and Member of the Board of Directors of the National Board of Social Insurance and Welfare of Pharmacists (ENPAF).
He has taught in refresher courses organized for the personnel of the Ministry of Health and for the Carabinieri of NAS (Office for the Prevention of Food Adulteration)and he has taken part as a speaker in numerous conventions.
He is the author of several publications concerning National Health Care.
