Covid-19, situation report update at 19 April 2020 18.00

At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.

As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:

• 108.257 people have tested positive
• 47.055 patients have recovered
• 23.660 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 178.972

In detail: there are currently 34.497 positive cases in Lombardy, 14.470 in Piedmont, 13.552 in Emilia-Romagna, 10.210 in Veneto, 6.496 in Tuscany, 4.321 in Lazio, 3.490 in Liguria, 3.182 in the Marche, 3.022 in Campania, 2.786 in Puglia, 2.202 in Sicily, 1.971 in the autonomous Province of Trento, 1.987 in Abruzzo,  1.566 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, 1.337 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 864 in Sardinia, 844 in Calabria, 562 in the Aosta Valley, 436 in Umbria, 247 in Basilicata and 215 in Molise.
