At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 32.872 people have tested positive
- 168.646 patients have recovered
- 34.043 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 235.561
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 18.297 in Lombardy, 3.671 in Piedmont, 2.156 in Emilia-Romagna, 1.004 in Veneto, 628 in Tuscany, 249 in Liguria, 2.570 nel Lazio, 992 nelle Marche, 675 in Campania, 613 in Puglia, 81 in the autonomous province of Trento, 853 in Sicily, 128 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 567 in Abruzzo, 95 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 29 in Umbria, 54 in Sardinia, 8 in the Aosta Valley, 68 in Calabria, 120 in Molise e 14 in Basilicata.
