At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 34.730 people have tested positive
- 166.584 patients have recovered
- 33.964 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 235.278
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 19.319 in Lombardy, 3.866 in Piedmont, 2.282 in Emilia-Romagna, 1.080 in Veneto, 721 in Tuscany, 248 in Liguria, 2.615 nel Lazio, 1.075 nelle Marche, 717 in Campania, 698 in Puglia, 81 in the autonomous province of Trento, 853 in Sicily, 144 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 632 in Abruzzo, 97 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 29 in Umbria, 56 in Sardinia, 8 in the Aosta Valley, 77 in Calabria, 119 in Molise e 13 in Basilicata.
