On 9 March 2011 the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted the Directive on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare (Directive 2011/24/EU). Member States wil have to transpose this Directive into national systems by 25 October 2013.
This event aims at comparing and identifying how Member States transposed the Directive, what results have been achieved so far. The Conference will also consider future prospects of cross-border collaboration, through an analysis of governance models at different levels and the identification of best practices.
