Coronavirus variants, travel restrictions extended for travellers coming from Brazil. Testing and isolation for travellers coming from Austria

"The fight against the pandemic does not stop. The spread of Covid variants requires us to be extremely cautious. Therefore, I have just signed an ordinance extending the restrictions on the entry of travellers from Brazil, allowing the return only for those who have registered residence in Italy, or for exceptional cases. Those who return will have to undergo tests before departure and on arrival, other than a fourteen-day fiduciary isolation with an additional final swab.

The ordinance also introduces testing and isolation for travellers coming from Austria, where the South African variant is circulating.

The statement was made by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, regarding the measures of the order of February 13, 2021.
