Covid-19, Minister Speranza signs two new Ordinances to counter the spread of the virus

Health Minister Roberto Speranza has signed two new Ordinances aimed at countering the spread of the new coronavirus.

The first Ordinance, signed on November 27, enforces the transition of the Regions of Calabria, Lombardy, and Piedmont into the orange area, as well as the transition of  the Regions of Liguria and Sicily into the yellow area. The new measures will apply starting November 29.

The second Ordinance, which was also signed on November 27, renews the current restrictive measures envisaged in the Ordinance  of  November 13 for the Regions of Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Marche, which remain in the orange area, and for the Regions of Campania and Tuscany, which remain in the red area.

The Ordinances will remain in force until  December 3, 2020. 

Therefore, the breakdown of the Regions in the different areas is currently as follows:

  • Yellow area: Lazio, Liguria, Molise, Autonomous Province of Trento, Sardinia, Sicily, Veneto
  • Orange area: Basilicata, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Marche, Piedmont, Apulia, Umbria, Italy
  • Red area: Abruzzo, Campania, Tuscany, Valle d'Aosta, Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
