Covid-19, Minister Speranza signs two new Ordinances to counteract the spread of the virus

The Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza has signed two new Ordinances aimed at countering the spread of the new coronavirus.

The first Ordinance already in force since November 19 reiterates the measures set out in the Ordinance issued last November 4, which will remain valid until  December 3: the Regions of Apulia and Sicily remain included in the orange zone and the Regions of Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta in the red zone. The possibility of new classifications provided for in the Ministerial Decree of November 3, 2020 remains unchanged.

The second Ordinance, signed on November 20, provides for the transition of the Abruzzo Region from the orange zone to the red zone. The provisions will enter into force on  November 22 and will remain in force until December 3, 2020.

Therefore, the distribution of the Regions in the different areas is currently as follows:

  • Yellow area: Lazio, Molise, Autonomous Province of Trento, Sardinia, Veneto
  • Orange area: Apulia, Basilicata, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Marche, Liguria, Sicily, Umbria
  • Red area: Abruzzo, Calabria, Campania, Lombardy, Piedmont, Tuscany, Valle d'Aosta, Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
