Covid-19, situation report update at 28 April 2020 18.00

At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.

As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:

• 105.205 people have tested positive
• 68.941 patients have recovered
• 27.359 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.

To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 201.505.

In detail: there are currently 35.744 positive cases in Lombardy, 12.003 in Emilia-Romagna, 15.506 in Piedmont, 8.601 in Veneto, 5.896 in Tuscany, 4.562 nel Lazio, 3.571 in Liguria, 3.334 in the Marche, 2.802 in Campania, 2.919 in Puglia, 1.565 in the autonomous Province of Trento, 2.143 in Sicily, 1.990 in Abruzzo, 1.239 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 910 in the autonomous Province of Bolzano, 772 in Sardinia, 764 in Calabria, 275 in Umbria, 209 in the Aosta Valley, 205 in Basilicata and 195 in Molise.
