Minister Speranza: "I signed a new ordinance to ban flights from Brazil and entry into Italy for those who have transited through Brazil in the last 14 days"

"I have signed a new ordinance to ban flights from Brazil and entry into Italy for those who have transited through Brazil in the last 14 days. Anyone coming from Brazil who is already in Italy is required to undergo a swab test by contacting the prevention departments. It is essential for our researchers to study the new variant in depth. In the meantime, we are choosing the path of maximum caution".

Health Minister Roberto Speranza made this statement on the measures provided for in the Ordinance issued on January 16, to counter the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 identified in Brazil.
