During the Christmas holidays, any movement between Regions and Autonomous Provinces will be forbidden, as well as on December 25 and 26, and January 1st. Moving between different Municipalities will also be forbidden. The curfew from 10 pm to 5 am is confirmed, with an extension until 7 am for New Year's Eve. Until January 6, shops will stay open until 9 pm.

The Ordinance of 19 November renews the measures already in force for the Regions of Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Apulia, Sicily, and Valle d'Aosta. The second Ordinance, issued on November 20, provides for the Abruzzo Region to be included in the red area.

According to the new Ordinance, the Regions of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria, Tuscany, Umbria are now included in the orange area. The Autonomous Province of Bolzano is now included in the red area.
The new decree contains further stringent measures to counter the spread of the new coronavirus. The decree identifies three main areas, corresponding to three risk scenarios, for which modular measures are envisaged.
