At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 42.075 people have tested positive
- 157.507 patients have recovered
- 33.415 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 233.019.
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 20.996 in Lombardy, 5.161 in Piedmont, 3.163 in Emilia-Romagna, 1.500 in Veneto, 1.111 in Tuscany, 669 in Liguria, 2.983 nel Lazio, 1.338 nelle Marche, 980 in Campania, 1.177 in Puglia, 304 in the autonomous province of Trento, 986 in Sicily, 278 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 753 in Abruzzo, 127 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 31 in Umbria, 185 in Sardinia, 15 in the Aosta Valley, 144 in Calabria, 145 in Molise e 29 in Basilicata.
