At Civil Protection Department Headquarters, the Operational Committee keeps working to ensure the coordination of all operations by the components and operational structures of the National Civil Protection Service.
As per health monitoring activities related to the spread of Coronavirus across national territory:
- 50.966 people have tested positive
- 147.101 patients have recovered
- 33.072 died however, this number can be confirmed only upon certification of cause of death by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità.
To date, the total number of assessed cases in Italy is 231.139
In detail, the number of infected people amounts to 24.037 in Lombardy, 6.464 in Piedmont, 3.998 in Emilia-Romagna, 2.287 in Veneto, 1.460 in Tuscany, 1.269 in Liguria, 3.488 in Lazio, 1.450 in the Marche, 1.146 in Campania, 1.513 in Puglia, 477 in the autonomous province of Trento, 1.318 in Sicily, 356 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 866 in Abruzzo, 171 in the autonomous province of Bolzano, 32 in Umbria, 215 in Sardinia, 27 in the Aosta Valley, 190 in Calabria, 166 in Molise and 36 in Basilicata.
