Privacy Policy

This page describes the procedures in place to protect the personal data of users of the website Healthcare in the European Union.

This Privacy Policy is published in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. This policy applies only to the Ministry of Health’s website and not to other websites that may be accessed by the user via links.

This policy is also based on Recommendation No 2/2001 of the European data protection authorities, meeting as the Working Party established by Article 29 of Directive 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 on certain minimum requirements for collecting personal data on-line in the European Union, and, in particular, the manner, timing and nature of the information that controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

 

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and computer environment. These types of data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its proper functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to detect devices associated with fraudulent or malicious activities against the website.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The optional, express and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses provided on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to reply to requests, and of any other personal data included in the message.

The portal of the Ministry of Health uses:

  • Technical session cookies, which are not used to collect the user’s personal identification data, as they only transmit session identification data in the form of numbers automatically generated by the server.
    Session cookies are not permanently stored on your device and are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
  • Cookies analytics, which are used to collect information, in aggregate form, about the number of users and how they visit the website. The website of the Ministry of Health makes use of the services by Google Analytics, whose cookie policy is available at this link. In order to respect the privacy of our users, the service is used in ‘_anonymizeip’ mode, which makes it possible to hide the IP addresses of users who browse the website: more information about this function. The data is collected for the sole purpose of processing anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to verify the website’s proper functioning. The Ministry of Health does not have access to the data that is collected and processed independently by the operators of social media platforms. Users are offered the option of accepting or refusing cookies. Optional provision of data

Rights of the data subjects
